Rethink Housing Affordability Forum

Join industry leaders as we look beyond traditional policy levers to address the true mechanics of housing affordability. Join Us at the Rethink Housing Affordability Forum! Canada's housing crisis isn't about a shortage, but it's an affordability problem, and solving it takes more than another round of housing supply targets. This forum brings together public sector, private development, and sustainability leaders to diagnose the structural roots of unaffordability and put forward solutions that don't rely on perpetual subsidy or added taxpayer burden. The day opens with a session on the root causes of the crisis and a high-impact policy framework for permanent affordability. From there, an expert panel spanning public and private sector perspectives takes direct Q&A on today's challenges and share their insights. The forum closes by making the case for sustainability as a profitable lever, not a marketing slogan, duscussing practical strategies that cut operating costs and utility bills, positioning sustainability as a driver of affordability rather than a cost center. Whether you're a policymaker, developer, investor, or building operator, this forum offers a structural, evidence-based look at what it will actually take to make Canadian housing affordable again.
