Full description from organizer

Join Steph & Paul for an evening of connection and song at the Bain Co-op Community Centre in Toronto's Riverdale neighbourhood. You are warmly invited to join Steph & Paul at the Bain Co-op Community Centre in Toronto's east end on Friday, October 30th, for an evening of connection and song! A note from Steph: Dear Toronto Community, it's been over a year since we last facilitated a song circle in Toronto, and... WE MISS YOU! Over the past year, Paul and I have been busy nurturing our sweet little singing community in Kingston, starting a monthly pop choir, writing new little ditties, and we've even gone on a couple of adventures. We're excited to spend an evening with you to reconnect through story and song. (There will be more song than story, we promise!) This event is geared toward folks who already know and love us. If we've never met before, but you feel like you know and love us, well, come on in! We'd love to have you in the circle! Sing with you sooooooon! Lots of love, Steph (& Paul!) Event Details Friday, October 30th 6:30 pm Doors | 7 to 9 pm Singing | 9 to 9:45 pm Optional Linger & Community Connection Bain Co-op Community Centre Toronto, ON Sliding Scale: $30-$50 per Adult (A limited number of PWYC tickets are available for folks experiencing financial hardship. There are no fees for children under 4. For ages 4-12, the suggested contribution is $10. For ages 13-17, the suggested contribution is $15. More details below!) In case this is your first-ever song circle, here's what to expect from the evening: • A welcoming environment that embraces you and your voice as they are. • Permission and encouragement to explore your voice at your own pace. • Opportunities to connect with like-hearted humans and experience a sense of community. • Easy-to-learn, heart-softening songs, ranging from playful to powerful and sacred, that will leave you feeling oh-so-OK in all of your tenderness. Tea and light snacks will be provided thanks to Toronto Community Singing. Thank you, friends!! There may be tears. There will certainly be laughter. Come prepared for the full range of feelings. Since ancient times, people have gathered to sing as a way of caring for themselves, each other, and the more-than-human world. Let's reclaim our collective wellness through the practice of community singing. Come find joy, strength, and solace in song with us. The Nitty-Gritty Details The Venue This event is in the Bain Co-op Community Centre, accessible via Sparkhall Avenue just off Logan Avenue.
