A three-hour workshop with UJ and Justine Ramdas. You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with. Your (future) partner sits at the top of that list. On your deathbed, you will think about how you showed up in your marriage. This is important, big stuff. Almost no one gets taught how to conduct that relationship. We think learning it is among the highest-return uses of your time, and this evening is us sharing what we have learned, used and improved. This is the cheapest this workshop will ever be. How the evening runs We open with a short presentation, around fifteen minutes, drawing on the research of John and Julie Gottman and the work of Esther Perel. The rest is interactive. Most of the value for you will come out of the questions in the room, so come with yours. What we cover The We-Team philosophy: competitive relationship versus cooperative. Us against our stuff, rather than us against each other. How to reliably talk about the things that are hard to talk about. Taking an honest audit of your own behaviour, and learning to pre-communicate rather than explain afterward. Who this is for: Single or partnered. If you are partnered, come together or come alone. Both work. If you are single, you leave with a standard for what you are looking for and the skills to hold up your end of it. The one thing we ask is sincerity. This runs on what people are willing to put into the room, so we would rather have ten keeners who mean it rather than thirty who are browsing. Who this is not for: Anyone here to fix their partner. The work is on your own side of the net. Why us We have been together six years, married for three. Our close friends kept asking us to share how we do it, so here we are. Justine is brilliant at making hard business things smooth and launched a children's book recently called Today is New Day. Between us, two decades of yoga and meditation practice and a rock-solid dedication to growth. Neither of us is a therapist, and we will be clear about where the edges of our experience are.
