In this interactive workshop, you’ll explore how fermentation transforms fresh ingredients into complex, tangy and flavour-packed sauces. We’ll begin by tasting a selection of fermented hot sauces and learning about the different flavours that fermentation can create. Then it’s your turn to get creative! Choose from a variety of chilies, herbs, fruits and spices to build your own custom hot sauce combination. During the workshop, you’ll: Taste a variety of fermented hot sauces and explore different flavour profiles. Learn the basics of fermentation and how it can be used to create hot sauce at home. Design your own custom hot sauce using your choice of chilies, herbs, fruits and spices. Bottle and label your creation to take home and continue the fermentation process. We’ll also enjoy a tasting of wings and vegetarian bites so you can experience how different fermented hot sauces pair with food. Come ready to taste, experiment and create something uniquely yours.
