About this event
Learn the core concepts of the medicine wheel and traditional indigenous teachings while making your own wheel to take home! Indigenous Peoples have used the Medicine Wheel as a life guide since time immemorial. This September 24th at the New West Farmers Market, ahead of Truth and Reconcilliation Day, Lorelei, an Indigenous educator with 2MetisWomen and knowledge carrier for the North Fraser Métis Association will guide participants through the creation of their own Medicine Wheel to take home, while learning some traditional Indigenous teachings through the core concepts of this important life guide. The wheel is often used as a tool for learning, contemplating, and understanding one's personal journey towards holistic wellbeing and balancing the Physical, Mental, Social, Spiritual self. Lorelei will lead you examining each quadrant, where the strengths are and where some goal setting could be implemented.
