The Inner Worlds | A Journey Beyond the Ordinary The Shamanic Sound Journey combines ancient drumming rhythms, crystal singing bowls, voice, and Norse-inspired practice to explore the landscapes of consciousness beyond ordinary awareness. Across shamanic traditions, the drum has served as a symbolic bridge between worlds. Its repetitive rhythm provides a point of focus through which the mind may become quiet, the imagination more vivid, and the inner landscape more accessible. In Norse cosmology, Yggdrasil, the World Tree, connects the nine worlds, extending through realms of gods, humanity, and the dead. Its roots and branches offer a powerful metaphor for the interconnected nature of existence. Inspired by this ancient cosmology, our journey invites you to imagine moving beyond the familiar boundaries of everyday perception into the symbolic landscapes of the inner world. Drawing on Michael Harner's teachings and the core principles of shamanic journeying, participants will be invited to explore personal imagery, encounter symbolic guides, and approach the mysteries of their own consciousness with curiosity. The journey will include 75 minutes of guided exploration and sound, followed by an optional sharing circle over herbal tea. The Yaletown Loft Experience Our private loft setting is intentionally curated for small groups only. High above the city, the space offers a quiet sanctuary with expansive views and a nourishing atmosphere. Each gathering is intimate and energetically unique, offering an experience far beyond the scale of large studio sessions. We hold the circle as a place of deep listening, where even the smallest reflection may offer meaning to another person. Advance registration is required to maintain the intimacy of this circle. Journey Reflection As we explore the symbolic landscapes of the inner world, you may wish to reflect on: • What part of myself is asking to be discovered? • What symbols or recurring images appear in my life? • What does my intuition know that my conscious mind has overlooked? • What wisdom might emerge when I stop searching for answers? Healing & Renewal Shamanic journeying offers a contemplative practice of listening beneath ordinary thought. Through repetitive rhythm, sound, and imagination, we create space to explore personal meaning and reconnect with aspects of ourselves that may receive little attention in everyday life. There is no required outcome, and no particular vision or encounter that must occur. Each journey is entirely personal. Rediscovering the Sacred The ancient image of the World Tree reminds us that existence may be understood through many layers, each connected to something greater. This gathering is an invitation to explore those layers within yourself. Some journeys offer vivid imagery. Others bring stillness. Both are welcome.
