Facilitated by Dr. Michelle Clement. This is a space for connection and conversation about loss. Approximately 13,209,754 people in Canada have dogs, and 14,342,018 have cats - that’s plenty of people who are going to experience pet loss one day. The Pet Lovers Death Café brings together the pet lover community so that the topic of pet death can be normalized and compassionately discussed through encouraging open discourse and examination. Talking about our experiences and feelings related to the illness and loss of a beloved pet can also be a great way to start the conversation about our own dying and death.ir stories, This is a safe space to ask questions, and listen attentively to others. There is no pressure to speak, and silence is welcomed as a natural part of the process. Gentle mindfulness will also be facilitated. The concept of Grief Cafés is rooted in the belief that talking about grief can help us live more fully and appreciate the preciousness of life. By creating a safe space for these conversations, Grief Cafés contribute to breaking down the taboo surrounding loss and encouraging a healthier and more open approach to our loss. Whether you have experienced a personal loss, are curious about death's mysteries, or simply seek to connect with others on a deeper level, we welcome you to this unique and trans-formative conversation circle.
