NOTHING MOVES ME — Instant Dance Performance

Nothing moves me—yet everything emerges.
A dance in silence that has never existed and will never exist again. A body offers itself to the void. The void replies. Join Manitoba instant dance artist Ian S. Mozdzen for NOTHING MOVES ME, a 40-minute solo performance created live in the moment. Performed in a silent minimalism, this is a dance that has never existed before — and will never exist again. Witness the live emergence of original choreography in an intimate encounter between body, space, time, light, silence, and the urgency of NOW. MOVE STRANGER, IN STRANGE LAND. Includes post-show chat. Ian S. Mozdzen has been activating stages internationally for over two decades. Since 2021, Ian has been presenting instant works across Canada, Mexico, Bulgaria, Spain and beyond, with upcoming residencies at Baryshnikov Arts Center (New York) and Bluebox Hub (Vienna). “Mozdzen succeeded in fulfilling the essence of spontaneous performance—not by presenting something stillborn to the audience, but by creating and affirming life…” — Julian Zhelyazkov-Zhuzi, Sofia (2024) “The dancer’s body speaks a language that is crystal-clear yet tells stories that are unclear—and suddenly deeply intimate.” — Yuliia Tvorilova, Edmonton (2025) By donation Independent presentation iansmoznewdance.blogspot.com Instagram: @iansmoz
