Full description from organizer

Get ready for some real talk with Indigenous and Immigrant knowledge keepers - no filters, no censorship, just raw and honest conversations. What happens when we stop talking about one another and start talking with one another? Uncensored Dialogue is a Focus Hub Inc. project bringing Indigenous and immigrant/diaspora scholars, researchers, knowledge keepers, cultural practitioners, artists and community voices into conversation around identity, history, culture, racism, colonialism and belonging. FEATURED PANELISTS Albert McLeod: Indigenous cultural advisor, Two-Spirit Elder, activist and educator David Garneau - Métis, a professor, curator, and theorist of Indigenous contemporary art and identity Jenny Heijun Wills - writer and researcher of Asian North American literary and cultural studies Youcef Soufi - Historian of Islamic thought and researcher EXPERIENCE: The event includes: • Augmented Reality Gallery • Live conversation • Audience Q&A • Breakout tables • Reception and networking This is also the soft launch of Focus Hub's augmented reality platform, part of a longer-term community-owned cultural preservation and archiving project. WHY UNCENSORED? Too often, communities are invited into the same room only to speak about one another. Uncensored Dialogue asks what happens when we create the conditions to actually speak with one another. That means making room for complexity. For questions that don't have simple answers. For histories that don't line up neatly. For disagreement without disengagement. And for the possibility that a conversation can change what we thought we understood. Space is limited. We look forward to having you with us. Uncensored Dialogue 2026 An ongoing conversation about who we are, where we come from, and how we share this place. Presented by Focus Hub Inc.
