Winnipeg Background Expo

If you previously registered for the event, you should have received an email asking you to select your preferred session. You do not need to obtain a new ticket. We kindly ask that you leave the newly added tickets available for those who have not yet had the opportunity to register. Welcome to the first-ever BG Expo in Winnipeg, taking place on September 26! Whether you’re new to background work or an experienced performer, this event is a great opportunity to connect with others, learn more about the industry, and gain valuable insight into building a successful career in film and television. Hear firsthand from industry professionals and organizations, including Background Work, ACTRA Manitoba, Madlib Casting, Film Training Manitoba, DJT Casting, HMW, and more. Enjoy engaging panels, ask questions during Q&As, network with fellow performers and industry professionals, explore resources, and enjoy refreshments throughout the event. We’re excited to bring the Winnipeg background community together and hope to see you there! Please note: Tickets are free but limited. If you're no longer able to attend, please cancel your ticket or let us know as soon as possible so we can offer your spot to someone else. When registering, you can choose a free ticket or make an optional donation. All donations will go directly to Harvest Manitoba. Food donations are also welcome and can be brought to the event.
