More than a decade after the reproducibility crisis gained attention, reproducibility remains a major challenge in modern research, with many experiments still failing toreplicate. Lab automation improves consistency and throughput but is often delivered through rigid, high-cost systems with long-term vendor dependence, makingadaptation difficult. As a result, many labs still rely heavily on manual workflows.
