AI Can't Ollie- Base and The Geneva Skatebord Museum at Base Window

Iconic skateboards meet original Base designs, reimagined through AI. A collision of skate culture, graphic design, and technology. The exhibition brings together a selection of decks handpicked by Jim Zbinden from the Geneva Skateboard Museum’s collection, alongside six original skateboards designed by Base studios worldwide, each reflecting its own culture, perspective, and creative obsessions. Presented both physically and through AI-generated animations, the decks raise a simple question: Does AI actually enhance the original design, or does it merely expand the possibilities of its representation?
