In the first film, Fikret (Engin Günaydın) and Solmaz (Demet Evgar) – who, in order to get Emirhan married, fabricated a picture of a respectable family to present to a traditional family from Adana, only for this secret to come back to haunt them in dramatic fashion – have, after the passing of the years, now truly become a family. However, this peculiar family never seems to escape trouble. In the second film, the characters find themselves centred around a new and far greater secret that surfaces just as things have settled down. Once again caught between two different cultures, lies and misunderstandings, Fikret tries to salvage the situation with his neurotic outbursts, only to drag things into an even more intractable absurdity.
