Explore the power of polarity through movement, partner dance, and embodied play. Yin Yang | A Movement Exploration of Lead, Follow and Flow What happens when you embrace the role of a leader? To confidently direct and take action without pressure or force? What opens up when you allow yourself to follow? To surrender needing to know, predict or plan and flow with where you’re being led? We each carry masculine and feminine energies within us, yet many of us are more comfortable embodying one over the other. Yin Yang is an invitation to explore both. Our night begins in circle where we’ll get curious about our own relationship with these energies before bringing them into movement. Then we’ll go on a guided solo and partner dance journey to see what happens when you invite in presence, curiosity, listening and flow while exploring the essence of both leading and following. We’ll then flow into free dance, giving you space to play with what you've discovered, move beyond your familiar roles, and experience what happens when you release the need to get it right and enjoy the dance. Our evening ends in a heart-sharing circle to reflect on how you can continue tapping into the power of masculine and feminine energies in dance and in life! No dance experience or partner needed.
