Annual Friendsgiving 2026

Gather round & reframe this formerly colonial driven holiday, while supporting the BSWC & eating food for the soul How to find the space. Please walk through the construction on Uferstr. Look out for ur posters directing you all the way to the back. See the piano saloon sign and go into that yard. Then go on to the right all the way. Don't go through left door, that's chamberlain music. Keep going straight down Then turn right. It's quite a political climate the world is in! Community gatherings are an act of resistance. So let's resist the system by getting together, eating and having a good time. Let's celebrate all we have accomplished this year and plans to continue resisting by dressing up, showing out and dancing to the music! As we feast of the Jamaican-American inspired meal, we will engage in conversations which fill the soul with laughter, rage and excitement. The days of traditional Thanksgiving are over! The heaux have taken it ovah! And with our guests we will gather and support each other in these current times. The evening will consist of good vibes, an open door, all you can eat (for what's available) Enjoy a live music performance by ASTAN KA. With a live DJ set by hosted by head mistress, The Incredible, Edible, Akynos. We hope to see you there! This is an open event where everyone is invited. A note: Often times we hop on to social justice movements, particularly around Sx Worker rights, only when there is a crisis. This day is an opporutnity to learn about our movement, The BSWC and what it means to stand in solidarity with Black Sx Worker rights activists. Community tickets are available and so are volunteer opprotunities. Both are very limited and reserved for community members who are connected to causes and groups that we can verify.
