Workshop German/English Are you expecting a baby of your own, or would you like to create a meaningful gift for someone special? This workshop is the perfect place to do just that. Join me for a fun, relaxed, and creative quilting workshop where you’ll make your own baby quilt from start to finish. This beginner-friendly class will teach you all the essential steps and helpful tips for creating a handmade quilt, including: • Introduction to essential quilting tools, materials, and techniques • Guided fabric selection from a wide range of high-quality cottons (feel free to bring meaningful fabrics of your own) • Step-by-step piecing of your quilt top, with a choice of beginner-friendly designs • Creating the quilt “sandwich” (top, batting, and backing) • Overview of quilting methods, including both hand quilting and machine quilting, and how they differ • Finishing your quilt with a clean, professional binding No experience is needed. Basic sewing machine skills are helpful, but not required. Groups are small so I’ll guide you step by step throughout. By the end of the workshop, your quilt will be assembled, with just a little finishing left to do at home. This is a lovely way to spend a morning: sewing, chatting, relaxing, and having fun in a cozy, small setting. Coffee, tea, and snacks will be provided. Feel free to bring a light lunch.
