A MFFG community talk + mixer event on human-led storytelling, informed hope, and the future of climate comms. For decades, climate communication has leaned on the vocabulary of science — gigatons, degrees, parts per million. Science-led climate communication is essential to stay compliant, honest, and greenwash-free. But on its own, it’s remarkably bad at igniting human hearts and minds into agents of climate action. At this MFFG community event, we’re inviting three speakers to take the stage and challenge how traditional climate communications are done. We’ll unravel the stories, human psychology, and an approach to what actually makes stories land. We claim that it's human connection and informed hope, combined with numbers and data, that inspires collective climate action. Our speakers work across science communication, media and content, storytelling, and grassroots organising. Together, we’ll unpack how to take the hardest, most abstract climate data and turn it into something a person can feel, remember, and act on.
