F.W. Murnau's Faust (1926) with a Live Score by Eve Matin

To celebrate the publication of The Faust Bible: The Making of F.W. Murnau’s Masterpiece, MUBI will host a special centenary screening of FAUST (1926) featuring a live score by Eve Matin. Matin is a Peruvian-Persian harpist and composer rooted in classical tradition, transforming the harp into an expansive, orchestral instrument through extended techniques and an instinctive exploration of sound. The Faust Bible: The Making of F.W. Murnau’s Masterpiece brings to light an astounding, recently-unearthed artifact of film history: a visual diary dedicated to the making of a towering classic of silent cinema.
