EN: O/H/R move between structure and dissolution, sonic body and fragment: saxophone, electric bass and drums, extended electronically, in an open space where musical ideas can circulate, overlap and transform. HOW NOISY ARE THE ROOMS? let concentrated energy from three sound sources collide without pause: vocals, turntables and drums in an interplay of noise, trip-hop and jazz. Double bill at Kantine am Berghain. EN: Between structure and dissolution, sonic body and fragment, movement and stillness, the trio of Odizouu, aka Moritz Stahl, Bernhard Hollinger, and Fabian Rösch are one of the most forward-thinking constellations from the Berlin improvised music scene. By combining jazz, avant-garde, ambient, minimalism, electronic extensions, and post-contemporary improvisation, they create an open space in which musical ideas circulate, overlap, and transform. Organic textures meet fragile melodic lines, while rhythmic displacements open new perspectives on temporality and form. The music remains constantly in process—a dynamic network of listening, responding, and collective realignment. HOW NOISY ARE THE ROOMS? Almut Kühne – vocals Joke Lanz – turntables Alfred Vogel – drums, percussion DE: HOW NOISY ARE THE ROOMS? entfesselt eine provokante Form kreativer Anarchie: konzentrierte Energie aus drei Klangquellen prallt unaufhörlich aufeinander und katapultiert das Publikum wie in einem Flipperautomaten durch ein Wechselspiel aus Noise, Trip-Hop und Jazz. Die Vokalakrobatin Almut Kühne, der Turntable-Artist Joke Lanz und der Schlagzeuger Alfred Vogel treffen kompromisslos aufeinander. Kühnes wandlungsreiche Stimme, Lanz’ eruptive Geräuschwelten und Vogels rituelle Percussion verschmelzen zu einem wilden, poetischen Chaos – süße Träume heißen hier Unruhe. EN: HOW NOISY ARE THE ROOMS? unleash a provocative form of creative anarchy: concentrated energy from three distinctive voices collides without restraint, catapulting the audience, as if in a pinball machine, through an interplay of noise, trip-hop, and jazz. Vocal acrobat Almut Kühne, turntable artist Joke Lanz, and drummer Alfred Vogel clash without compromise. Kühne’s versatile voice, Lanz’s eruptive soundscapes, and Vogel’s ritualistic percussion merge into a wild, poetic chaos. Sweet dreams are synonymous with a restless cacophony.
