It's time for our lovely community to gather again! This is our space dedicated for those of us living in polyamorous and ENM (ethical non-monogamy) relationships. Bring your troubles, learnings and wishes to share in this vulnerable, respectful, and creative community. ❤️ How it works:We gather as a group and share topics popcorn-style. Then we split into small groups around the topics that interest us most, diving deeper for about 30 minutes. After a short break, we regroup — either staying with the same topic or switching to a new one.⏳ Timeline: -18:30 Arrivals, catching up-19:00 Intro, topic proposals and group formations-20:30 Open space for socializing -End around 23:00 🗺️ Location: Depending on weather, either a park in Friedrichshain, or a private flat 🍓 ​​​To bring: Please bring food to share for our communal potluck (this will be our dinner), notebook & pen for reflection What is ♾️💜 Polyverse Berlin? 💜♾️ A vibrant community for those who practice, or are curious about ethical polyamory and non-monogamy. 💌 Context Polyamory is becoming increasingly popular and is promising a more liberated and sustainable way of loving long-term. Yet polyamory is not as tried and tested across society as monogamy is. Studies* have shown that those loving polyamorously are as happy and committed as their monogamous counterparts but jealousy and social acceptance remain big challenges. We notice that many of our Berliner poly friends experience similar challenges and have similar questions. Therefore we are building a community of people to learn from and support each other in our poly journeys. About us Polyverse is formed by four polyamorous people passionate about, yes you guessed it, Polyamory! We are all experienced organizers, nerds about science and having a positive impact on the world, and even bigger nerds about relationships. We believe that polyamory has the potential to change our social structures for the better, such as creating more cooperation and togetherness across society. Loving more openly can reduce loneliness and insecurities. Yet we see that most people who choose to be polyamorous often do it alone and without community wisdom and support. We want to change that! We don’t want to ‘convert’ anyone, instead, we want everyone to have access to the resources and support they need to figure out what relationship style works best for them, and if they choose some form of polyamory, we want to support them in their journeys. And we want to help ourselves stay happy and supported while being polyamorous in a mono-normative world. We’re in this together! 💜Mastering Communication: Communication is key in polyamory! Honesty, clarity, and compassion make everything smoother. Let’s get better at sharing our boundaries, needs, and desires—it’ll help improve all areas of our lives. 🔮Open to science: Polyamory is still uncharted territory, at least for modern humans. So using evidence and being open to different perspectives makes it safer and more enriching. We’re excited to learn and grow together. 🪻Self-leadership: Managing emotions is so important in polyamory! Emotional intelligence, mindfulness, journalling, asking for help, and self-validation can help us to stay calm and balanced, and navigate complex situations with ease and compassion.
