The 2nd European Steel Scrap and Circular Economy Forum 2026

Accelerate the transition toward a more sustainable, low-carbon, and circular steel ecosystem. As the global drive toward carbon neutrality and a circular economy continues to gain momentum, the steel industry - an essential pillar of the manufacturing sector - confronts unprecedented pressure to mitigate its environmental impact while upholding industrial competitiveness. Because of the high recyclability, scrap steel production has established itself as a foundational solution, facilitating substantial reductions in carbon emissions relative to primary steelmaking and playing an integral role in fostering material recycling and reuse across key industries. The upcoming forum is organized to assemble key industry stakeholders, including scrap processors, steel manufacturers, end-user sectors, technology researchers and developers, and policymakers. This two-day forum is to facilitate in-depth deliberations on the opportunities and challenges associated with advancing circularity within the steel industry, while providing a collaborative platform for the exchange of cutting-edge insights, alignment of strategic objectives, and identification of actionable pathways to accelerate the transition toward a more sustainable, low-carbon, and circular steel ecosystem.
