Funding a Startup: Finding the Right Investors - Open Workshop & Community Get-together

Participants will explore what they are building, whether they actually need external capital, the different types of funding available, and what motivates the people and organisations providing that capital. The workshop then moves through investor readiness, identifying the right investors, approaching them effectively, and understanding what happens once the fundraising process begins. The focus is not on chasing the most famous investor, but on understanding which source of capital fits the company, its stage and its ambitions. Participants will leave with a clear mental model of the funding journey, from first idea through investor conversations, diligence, negotiation and rejection.
