For too many people in Munich, it isn't. Together, we can change that. Women, gender minorities and queer people struggle to enjoy sport in spaces that are not meant for them. This is not a nice-to-solve problem, it decides whether people show up at all. This summer, FLINTA* sports collective brought together 350 people and hosted at least one sports event every single week. TINA+ collective took a different approach: creating safe spaces for trans, nonbinary, intersex and agender people through picnics, bouldering, swimming and more. Both did it by self-organizing, with no explicit support from the sports organizations they train at. They carried the costs and the uncertainty themselves. ❄️ Summer was the easy part. In winter, sports infrastructure is limited and every event depends on access to indoor space. That is when safe spaces are most at risk of disappearing, and exactly when we need to keep them alive. Come hear from the people who have been doing it and leave with a first step. We are looking for partners who want sport in Munich to work for everyone. Let's find a way to keep this growing. This event is for: • 🏟️ Representatives of sports clubs, gyms, pools and climbing halls • 🏛️ People from the city administration and local politics • 🏳️‍🌈 FLINTA* and TINA+ athletes, organizers and allies • 🤝 Anyone who wants Munich's sports spaces to work for more people Event details 📅 4 November 2026 ⏰ Doors open: 6:30 PM 📍 TUM Think Tank, Richard-Wagner-Straße 1, 80333 München Hosted by Global Shapers Munich, in collaboration with FLINTA sports collective and TINA+ collective.
