PERSEPHONE – A Ritual of Movement & Imagination

A Women's Circle of Myth, Movement & Creative Exploration PERFORMANCE LAB 1: PERSEPHONE — A JOURNEY BETWEEN WORLDS Munich creative souls, I’d love to invite you into a different kind of space. On Sunday, 8 November, from 17:00 to 18:30, we open the first chapter of the Performance Lab series: a space where mythology, archetypal psychology and experimental dance theatre meet. Only a few places remain! First things first: this is not a conventional dance class. Think of it as a meeting point between a women’s circle and an experimental dance-theatre workshop. A space to explore myth, symbols and the imagination through the body and artistic creation. We won’t be learning set steps or working towards a perfect choreography. Instead, we’ll use movement to explore images, emotions and questions that may be difficult to put into words. What makes this experience different? Mythology & Archetypes Through the ancient myth of Persephone, we’ll explore themes of transformation, separation, belonging and the threshold between two worlds. From Image to Movement How can a myth become a gesture? How can an image turn into movement, and movement into artistic expression? We’ll experiment with these questions through guided creative exercises. Presence & Expression We’ll work with body awareness, grounding, presence and stage expression, developing material that emerges from our own movement and imagination. This is an invitation to slow down, experiment, create and connect with other women in a space built on trust, curiosity and mutual respect.
