Join our free, in-person workshop exploring the past, present and future of everyday objects used by people living with chronic illness and disabilities. You will have the opportunity to get up close with a special selection of historical objects from Medicinsk Museion alongside contemporary objects - bringing past and present into conversation. We will also discuss and playfully re-imagine what a future archive of medically assisted devices and objects of self-care could look like. We encourage participants to bring examples of objects or images from their own life experiences. To create a space centred on lived experience, participation is limited to people living with chronic conditions and disabilities . The workshop will be facilitated by artists, designers, and researchers who bring their own lived experiences of chronic illness and disability: gin naps, Maren Kjelgaard, Anthony Dexter Giannelli, and Valeria Borsotti. The facilities are fully accessible.
