CABARET MELANCOLIQUE

Here we go again! Cabaret Melancolique groans back to life with fabulous characters and extraordinary acts in a long, sinister evening that celebrates bad taste and wallows in toe-curling embarrassment, venturing as far as possible into the outer reaches of the utterly appalling. With glee, we scratch our fingernails across the blackboard of convention, enveloping our audience in hazy mystery, total confusion and embarrassed giggles.Over the years, the cabaret has featured silent ventriloquism, werewolf kisses, orgasmic volcano women, Scottish flamenco dancers, spirit mediums, bearded and gurgling ladies, near-sighted shooting acts, monologues from the underworld, winged eggs, saw-playing ghosts – and much, much more. Come along! It will (unfortunately) be unforgettable! Cabaret Melancolique was originally founded in London in 2001. The annual cabaret can be described as a meeting between Gothic horror, Monty Python and The Muppets. We are flying six artists in from London to lead the evening.Welcome to a wildly unhinged Christmas celebration, where English and Danish artists will throw themselves into absurd stunts they have always wanted to try, but which are too embarrassing to include in their usual practice! Please be on time, otherwise your place will be released to someone on the waiting list.
