FORMS OF PRESENCE: MEDIA LOOP

ESPRONCEDA – Institute of Art & Culture presents Forms of Presence: Media Loop, a group exhibition bringing together eight artists who explore how identity is built in the encounter with others — an encounter increasingly mediated today by data, screens and devices. Through video, ceramics, installation, painting and generative artificial intelligence, the artists trace how media connect us with the other while, at the same time, producing the very images through which we recognise or differentiate ourselves. Structured as a circuit, the show names its own paradox: media multiply our possibilities of reaching the other without ever guaranteeing that this access becomes a real encounter. Participating artists: Elisa de la Torre, Miguel Ripoll, David Feroce, Elvira Martos, Natasha Lelenco, Marla Jacarilla, Edo García and Lorena Ruiz Pellicero. Curated by Natasha Lelenco and Lorena Pellicero. About the project The exhibition marks the culmination of Professional Media Presence (PMP), co-funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union, and opens simultaneously at seven venues in six countries: Finland (Turku and Lapland), Malta, Croatia, Italy, Slovakia and Barcelona.
