Margins & Museums Book Club: Pairing N.03 | Memory

Join us for Margins & Museums Book Club: Pairing N.03 | Memory — how the past shapes the stories we tell! Margins & Museums Book Club: Pairing N.03 | Memory Pairing No. 03 brings together literature and art through a shared exploration of history, memory and the stories we tell. For this edition of Margins & Museums, we’ll read Austerlitz by W.G Sebald alongside The Secret Life of Plants: Anselm Kiefer exhibition at La Pedrera. Over the course of the next weeks, you are invited to read the novel, visit the exhibition at your own pace, and then join us for a guided discussion where we’ll explore the connections between the two. Together, we’ll consider how memory is shaped by history, what we inherit, materiality and knowledge. Whether you’re an avid reader, a museum lover, or simply curious to experience art from a different perspective, this is an opportunity to slow down, look closer, and share thoughtful conversations with fellow book and art enthusiasts. Your ticket includes: • A curated book + exhibition pairing • A guided group discussion • A drink of your choice (wine or beer) • A welcoming space for conversation and new perspectives Please note: The exhibition ticket is not included when you sign up via Eventbrite, you can purchase it separately at La Pedrera's website. We've partnered with ComeIn Bookshop, with a mention of the book club you get 5% off your copy of Austerlitz.
