RoboSAPIENS: What changed, what's next?

After three years of research into safe and trustworthy robotic self-adaptation, what has actually changed? Join the RoboSAPIENS consortium for an interactive retrospective exploring the advances, lessons learned and challenges that remain. Through real examples and open discussions, researchers and industry partners will reflect on how the project has advanced uncertainty management, safety, verification, real-world robotic applications and our understanding of human–robot interaction. This event is a hybrid event, you may connect online or join us onsite. Agenda: 11:30 – 11:35 | Welcome & Introduction Setting the scene: What has changed thanks to RoboSAPIENS? 11:35 – 11:42 | Where Did RoboSAPIENS Start? The original challenges and ambitions of the project. 11:42 – 12:02 | Advances in Uncertainty & Safety Exploring how RoboSAPIENS has improved our understanding of uncertainty management and safety in adaptive robotics. 12:02 – 12:15 | Advances in Architecture & Verification What has changed in how we design and verify adaptive robotic systems? 12:15 – 12:27 | From Research to Real-World Robotics Lessons learned from testing RoboSAPIENS technologies in real robotic applications. 12:27 – 12:35 | The Human Perspective Understanding trust, expectations and human–robot interaction. 12:35 – 12:50 | What Challenges Remain? An open roundtable discussion on unresolved questions and future priorities. 12:50 – 13:00 | Audience Q&A & Closing Remarks Key takeaways and reflections on what comes next.
