Every Sunday, we bring together English speakers from all over Barcelona for an evening of padel, fun, and socializing. Places are capped at 60 players, first come first served. If we're full you'll go on a waiting list and move up as spots open. Games are organised during the week and posted in the WhatsApp group. ⚠️ IMPORTANT: • You must be 18 or over to take part - Keep Calm is an adults-only community • You MUST complete the Google Form to secure your spot (the Eventbrite RSVP alone does not reserve a place) • You MUST join the WhatsApp community or you will lose your spot! 💡 Good to Know • Cost: the Eventbrite RSVP is free. Court cost is around €5-8 per person (split between 4 players on a court), paid via Playtomic when the court is booked • Equipment: Racket rental available for €4 at the venue • What to bring: Comfortable sports shoes, water bottle, towel (padel balls provided) • What to wear: Athletic wear and sports shoes (most courts are outdoor - check weather) • Skill levels: We organize games for Beginner, Improver, Intermediate, and Advanced (based on Playtomic scores) • Monthly beginner sessions: Special sessions available for complete beginners • Facilities: All venues have changing rooms, lockers, showers, and refreshments • Location: Check the venue distance before registering to ensure you can make it on time • Commitment: If you sign up for multiple time slots, you're committing to play multiple games • Cancellation: Please let us know early if plans change - we take a strict approach to last-minute dropouts • Rain policy: Games are ON unless officially cancelled - don't assume cancellation • Switching spots: You can swap with another player - just notify in WhatsApp and contact organizers • Organization: Games are arranged one week in advance using Playtomic scores for balanced matching 🔗 Learn More About Keep Calm Barcelona We're a not-for-profit, volunteer-run sports and social community for English speakers in Barcelona. No problem! Here's what you need to know: • Padel is less physically demanding than tennis - suitable for a wide range of fitness levels • Smaller court with walls you can play off (like squash meets tennis) • Underarm serving only - easier for beginners • Try rental rackets first (€4) - if you love it, buy a beginner racket from Decathlon (€40-80) • If you've played tennis, your skills transfer well - you'll likely start at Improver level • Special beginner sessions run monthly - ask in the WhatsApp group!
