Wine Trivia Night Barcelona Taste three wines, hear a little about each, then compete in three rounds of wine and general trivia. Three wines. Thirty questions. One winning table. Join us at Vinumplay for a Wine Trivia Night in Barcelona combining a relaxed wine tasting with three rounds of team trivia. Each round starts with a new wine and a short introduction. You might hear about the grape, where it comes from, the story behind the bottle or something useful to notice while tasting it. Then the questions begin. Some are based on what you’ve just heard. Others are general trivia, unexpected facts and the kind of questions that usually lead to a little debate around the table. You don’t need to know much about wine before coming. Listen, taste, guess, discuss and see how your table does. After every round, we reveal the answers and update the scores. At the end of three wines and thirty questions, one table takes the win and a bottle of wine. How the night works We’ll start with some time to arrive, settle in and meet the room. You don’t need to organise a team in advance. We’ll create the teams on the night, so everyone has a chance to mix beyond the people they arrived with. Then we move through three rounds: Wine 1 → short introduction → triviaWine 2 → short introduction → triviaWine 3 → short introduction → final trivia After each round, we reveal the answers and update the scores. Come alone, bring a friend or arrive with a small group. Most Dinner Society events include a mix of all three. The wines Here’s what we’ll be pouring this time: Synera RoséD.O. Catalunya · Garnacha + Tempranillo Fresh, fruity and easy to drink, with red-fruit notes like strawberry, raspberry and redcurrant. The name has a Catalan connection too: Synera refers to Sinera, the fictional name writer Salvador Espriu used for Arenys de Mar. Ozó Blanco 2024D.O. Terra Alta · 100% Garnacha Blanca A fresh, floral white with citrus notes from one of Catalonia’s best-known regions for Garnacha Blanca. There’s also an interesting story behind the project: Ozó is connected with Ramats de Foc, an initiative using grazing to help manage vegetation and reduce wildfire risk. Magnetic TintoD.O. Catalunya · Garnacha Tinta + Syrah Fresh, fruity, slightly spicy and smooth. The name is inspired by the idea of the “magnetic” energy of the landscape around Montserrat, connecting the wine back to Catalonia and the land it comes from. Don’t worry about memorising any of this. The event will be hosted in English. Ticket policy Tickets are non-refundable, but you may transfer your ticket to another person if you can no longer attend.
