Salón de Otoño

Founded in 1920, the Salón has played an important role in promoting artistic creativity and providing a platform for both emerging and established artists. Held at the Centro Cultural Casa de Vacas, in Madrid's emblematic Retiro Park, the 2026 edition brings together a diverse selection of contemporary artworks, including painting, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, and mixed media. The exhibition reflects the richness and diversity of contemporary artistic expression, presenting a dialogue between traditional techniques and innovative approaches. Through a wide range of styles, themes, and perspectives, participating artists explore the complexities of modern life, personal identity, cultural heritage, and the evolving relationship between art and society. Over its long history, the Salón de Otoño has become an important reference point in Spain's cultural landscape, celebrating artistic excellence while encouraging experimentation and new creative voices. The exhibition takes place in the historic Casa de Vacas cultural centre, situated within the UNESCO-listed Landscape of Light, making it an exceptional setting for this celebration of contemporary art.
