Blind Date With A Photobook at Paris Photo - Sugar Paper & FOTODOK

Pick a wrapped photobook, follow the clues and discover what’s inside. A little mystery, a few strangers, plenty to talk about. Join Sugar Paper for Blind Date With A Photobook, a playful, informal session that starts with a wrapped book and a few clues. No cover to catch your eye, no author’s name to impress you, no publisher or price to sway your choice. Just short thematic clues to help you pick a book that sparks your curiosity. Then comes the reveal. In small groups, you’ll unwrap the books, explore their pages and talk about what you find: the images that hold your attention, the connections you make, the things that leave you puzzled. No photobook expertise required. Part of A Wider Gaze The session takes place during Paris Photo, as part of the programme surrounding A Wider Gaze, an exhibition presented by FOTODOK at Atelier Néerlandais. Bringing together ten artists based in the Netherlands, the exhibition asks: What does it mean to be European today?
