Come sing, improvise and create music together! A playful Circle Songs workshop exploring rhythm, harmony and vocal improvisation. Circle Songs Workshop in Paris — 2h Come sing, improvise, connect, and create music together in the moment! You're invited to a 2-hour Circle Songs Workshop in the heart of Paris. Inspired by Bobby McFerrin’s Circle Songs, this workshop is all about group vocal improvisation — creating rhythms, melodies, harmonies, and eventually whole songs together, right there in the moment. We’ll explore the voice through playful exercises, rhythm, listening, and improvisation, gradually building toward creating our own Circle Songs as a group. There are no mistakes — just explorations. Circle Songs are a beautiful way to: • Explore your voice and musical creativity • Develop your sense of rhythm and harmony • Practice listening and responding musically • Become more comfortable with improvisation • Connect with other singers • Let go of overthinking and simply make music No preparation or previous experience is necessary — just show up, be open, and ready to sing! WHAT WE’LL DO During the workshop, we’ll explore: • Vocal and body warm-ups • Rhythm and groove exercises • Melodic and harmonic improvisation • Call & response • Improvisational singing games • Creating Circle Songs together • Exploring your own musical ideas and spontaneous creativity Every workshop is a little different, with new exercises and musical ideas to explore. ABOUT YOUR TEACHER Maja Savic is a professional jazz vocalist and holistic voice coach with over 15 years of performance experience. Based in Paris, she performs and teaches internationally, working with singers on vocal technique, improvisation, authentic expression, repertoire and artist development. Her holistic approach to singing combines vocal technique with body awareness, breathwork, relaxation, mindfulness and improvisation, helping singers develop confidence, musical freedom and their own individual sound. Improvisation and Circle Songs are an important part of her teaching, encouraging singers to explore their creativity, trust their musical instincts and discover their own musical language through listening and creation in the moment.
