Produced by Fiona Fauchois, Uisce – A Tale of Salt and Wood draws on Kathleen Handrick’s fictional monologue, inspired by the life of Michael Rogers (1860–1936), a seanchaí and prisoner at Frongoch internment camp. The performance interweaves words from Handricks’s text with songs by Samuel Barber and Benjamin Britten. Venue:Chapelle Saint-Patrick, Centre Culturel Irlandais 5 rue des Irlandais, 75005 Paris The performance will be followed by drinks at La Contrescarpe, 57 rue Lacépède, 75005 Paris. Fiona Fauchois will also perform in Carmen, staged by the Irish National Opera in Dublin, November 2026.
