About this event

This event examines hybrid working from the perspective of managers and workers.

Full description from organizer

This event looks at hybrid working from the perspective of managers and workers. Hybrid working has become a defining feature of the modern workplace, creating both opportunities and challenges for organisations, managers and employees. This engaging session will explore what makes hybrid working successful, examining the experiences of both leaders and workers and the practical factors that influence its effectiveness. Drawing on the latest research and real-world examples, Donald will share insights from his recent book, "The Evolution of Hybrid and Remote Working: Transforming Office-Based Jobs". The book explores how workplace practices continue to evolve and highlights the key factors that contribute to effective hybrid working arrangements. Whether you are leading teams, shaping workplace policy or navigating hybrid working yourself, this session will provide valuable, evidence-based insights to help you better understand and respond to the realities of today's evolving world of work. Speakers bio Donald Hislop is a Professor in the University of Aberdeen Business School. He is an Academic Fellow of the CIPD and a branch member of the North Scotland and Islands Branch. One of his main research interests is hybrid, remote and mobile working. He has recently published a book on this titled, The Evolution of Hybrid and Remote Working: Transforming office-based jobs. This is a short book which, while using contemporary academic research, is written for an academic and practitioner audience, giving practical insights into the factors shaping the effectiveness of hybrid working.
