Rocket Yoga Immersion - Arm Balances

Join Vix for a morning of Rocket Yoga and an afternoon focussing on arm balancing and transitions About Rocket Yoga Rocket Yoga is a dynamic vinyasa practice rooted in the Ashtanga system, developed to make the traditional sequences more accessible, adaptable, and responsive to individual bodies. While it follows a set structure, Rocket encourages modification, variation, and choice, allowing practitioners to work progressively with strength, mobility, inversions, arm balances, and backbends. The emphasis is on breath-led movement, continuity, and building a sustainable, intelligent practice. About the Teacher: Vix began her yoga journey with Ashtanga, which grew into a love of Rocket and the combination of tradition, creativity and freedom the practice offers. She completed her first teacher training in 2019 and has been teaching full-time for the past four years. With over 1,000 hours of training, Vix has trained and practised with internationally renowned teachers including David Kyle, Rebecca Hannah, Mark Kan, Yogi Kamal Singh, Alex Vyazovov and Stewart Gilchrist. She is a licensed ROCKET® Teacher Trainer and now leads Rocket teacher trainings, workshops and retreats in the UK and internationally. Vix loves supporting students to challenge the limitations they place on themselves, while giving them the tools, understanding and confidence to progress in their practice. Who the Weekend Is For This immersion is suitable for students with an existing yoga practice who are curious about Rocket, as well as those already practising Rocket who want to deepen their understanding of inversions, transitions, and backbends. Options and progressions will be offered throughout. Teachers are welcome, but this is not a teacher training and no prior Rocket experience is required. Rocket Masterclass An extended Rocket practice based around the Rocket 3 sequence, bringing together elements of Rocket 1 and Rocket 2 into one complete practice. Rocket 3 combines forward folds, twists, hip openers, backbends, arm balances and inversions, working through the body in a way that creates balance across the nervous system. Expect a strong, dynamic practice with plenty of opportunities to explore variations, challenge yourself and experience the full spectrum of the Rocket system. Arm Balances, Inversions & Transitions Workshop: A playful, practical workshop exploring some of the inversions, arm balances and transitions that make Rocket such a distinctive practice. We’ll work with handstand, Pincha Mayurasana and a variety of arm balances, breaking down technique, alignment and the strength and mobility required for each. From there, we’ll explore different ways of entering, exiting and transitioning between postures — Rocket style! Expect drills, progressions and plenty of time to practise, with options for different levels so you can work from wherever you are in your practice.
