Consone Quartet

String quartets by Brahms and Beethoven are performed by the Consone Quartet. The Consone Quartet - known for their honest and expressive interpretations of repertoire, notably from the classical and romantic eras – give an evening recital featuring works by two enduring masters of composition: Brahms and Beethoven. Tonight’s performance opens with Brahms’s lyrical and dramatic String Quartet No. 2 in A minor. It will be heard alongside Beethoven’s String Quartet No. 14, Op. 131, the composer’s favourite of his late quartets, some of the greatest compositions ever completed.
