It Takes a Village: Taking Flight with Movema World Dance

Get ready to move, imagine and be part of the mythical story of two birds! Join Movema performer Pei Yee and Riddhi for an interactive dance and movement session exploring belonging, home and community through global dance, spoken word, costume, music and participatory storytelling. You’ll meet the Feng Huang, the mythical phoenix bird from Chinese culture, and the Peacock, inspired by the traditional symbol of India. As their story unfolds, audiences will be invited to move, play and help build the nest and protect their delicate egg. Hone our collective nesting instincts together, protecting the eggs of these birds as a mini community through movement and dance inspired by cultures from around the world!
