Stoats Farm, Tennyson & conservation areas including rare Soay sheep(4 Oct)

Meet at Stoats Farm, then walk Tennyson Down and the Monument, feed rare-breed Soay sheep, then return for hot chocolate and cake. Stoats Farm, Tennyson Down and conservation areas including rare Soay sheep herd Meeting at Stoats Farm restaurant car park we will walk Tennyson Down including the Monument with views to sea and Solent. Continuing through conservation fields and feeding the rare breed Soay sheep before returning for hot chocolate, coffee and cake. Please note, dogs are not allowed on this walk. Length of walk: 3 miles (1.5 hrs) Walk Cost: £10 suggested donation payable at the beginning of the walk. All proceeds will go directly to the Hampshire & IOW Air Ambulance. Chocolate and cakes are available at no extra charge at the end of the walk. Walk grade: Moderate - Varying landscape with more challenging slopes. Stiles and steps to be expected en route, suitable for keen walkers and anyone who is reasonably active. Walk Mobility: Walkers need to be reasonably agile and mobile. Not suitable for walkers with mobility impairment of any kind Facilities: • Rest stops • Good walking footwear recommended • Family friendly • Takes in woodlands • Takes in coastal scenery • There are steps on the route Dogs cannot attend this walk as we will be walking through stocked fields with very rare breed sheep.
