Cherubini Requiem in C Minor

"If I were to write a Requiem, Cherubini's would be my only model" - Ludwig van Beethoven Cherubini's Requiem in C Minor was commissioned by King Louis XVIII of France in 1816 for a memorial service to commemorate the anniversary of the executions of King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette.
