Contemporary Ballet for all levels: Mon 19 Oct

A good vibes, open level class blending the ballet fundamentals with the freedom of contemporary dance. --- This ticket is for Contemporary Ballet class Monday 19th October 6:15-7:15pm (£9). To enrol in all 6 classes for £45, or to book a bundle of any 3 classes for £24, please choose the relevant ticket on the home page--- Blending the structure of ballet and the freedom of contemporary dance, this open level class builds up strength, balance and grace to a catchy eclectic soundtrack. It introduces key principles of ballet technique in an accessible way, because ballet can be for everybody. Expect well-explained exercises, flowing choreography blending contemporary and ballet - and a great workout! We start with a series of (barre-less) barre exercises in the centre to build core strength, progressing to movements that travel across the space, and a longer phrase. We focus on finding fluidity and enjoyment in movement rather than the perfect turnout. Adults (18+) of all levels welcome, from seasoned practitioners to beginners with basic (not necessarily recent) experience of movement such as yoga or dance. This is a good vibes class focused on finding joy, challenge and growth in movement! What to wear: Comfortable clothing that allows freedom of movement. Socks (or ballet slippers). Location: The Dance Space in Brighton (2 Market St, Circus St, BN2 9AS). Spaces in the class can be booked up until the class start time.
