Monster Mashed

Monster Mashed is a series of creative workshops from Exploring Senses CIC, led by artists David Allistone and Tamsin Allistone, inviting young people at Brighton Youth Centre to transform discarded toys into hybrid, mutant creatures – before bringing them to life through digital collage and animation. Across two workshops, participants will experiment with hands-on making and digital technology, first creating their own 3D ‘Monster Mashed’ creatures from reused toys, then photographing, digitally editing, collaging and animating their creations using Procreate. David and Tamsin will bring the work created by the young people together into a final short film, presented as a projection-loop installation on the Brighton Youth Centre building during the B.fest 2026 launch evening on Saturday 24 October.
