Winter Wildlife on the Somerset Levels - A guided walk

Join us for a guided walk exploring the unique habitat and wildlife on the Somerset Levels. Guided by a conservation ranger with over 30 years experience of watching wildlife in the area. We'll meet and finish at the Avalon Marshes Centre where there are toilets and a cafe for refreshments. There may be a very short onward journey to our start point which we will ideally carshare for. By late November Wildfowl and wader numbers will be reaching their peak. Redwings and fieldfares arrive in huge numbers and populations of some of our familiar birds such as starlings, finches and robins are boosted by visitors from Northern and Eastrrn Europe. We'll hope to glimpse otters and kingfishers in the reeds beds and will scan the skies for bids of prey. Plenty of time to learn ID tips, chat and just stop and admire our surroundings
