The Great Stour Zen Meditation Group hosts traditional zazen and dharma study every Tuesday online or in person. Visitors join a community rooted in Japanese Zen tradition for upright sitting meditation, chanting, and text study. New and experienced meditators are welcome to participate together.

Come sit with us every Tuesday. New and experienced meditators are welcome to join in traditional Zen meditation (zazen) and study. Great Stour Zen Meditation Group We offer zen meditation (zazen) and dharma study every Tuesday online, and every third Tuesday in person/hybrid. Here's our Zoom link. Our practice at GSZ is rooted in the Japanese Zen tradition. Upright sitting meditation (zazen) in community is the core of our practice, informed by the study and chanting of Buddhist texts and teachings, in harmony within ourselves and with the universe. “In the beginner’s mind there are many possibilities; in the expert’s mind there are few.” – Shunryu Suzuki So please don’t worry if you’re new to meditation.
