Harvest Home - willow weaving workshops

Join Anna of Grow Outdoors for FREE willow weaving workshops at the Harvest Home folk celebration in Sandwich, Kent. Try your hand at traditional basketry techniques as part of Folk Lore Kent's Harvest Home folk celebration. Suitable for all levels, including complete beginners. FREE - all materials supplied. Choose from 3 willow-weaving workshops for adults: • 11am: make a garden obelisk. 90 minute workshop. • 1.30pm: make a fruit tray basket. 60 minute workshop. • 3.30pm: make a cornucopia. 60 minute workshop. These workshops are suitable for adults only and must be booked in advance - please ensure you select the correct ticket to secure a place. Have-a-go willow weaving activities for all ages will be available, for a small charge, outside workshop times during in the day - just stop by and make! NB: This activity will involve the use of secateurs. By booking, workshop participants acknowledge that participation is entirely at their own risk. The Harvest Home folk celebration is a day of free activities, offered as part of the national Heritage Open Days scheme. It is a Folk Lore Kent event, supported by Sandwich Medieval Trust, Bringing Alive Sandwich Heritage, and made possible with funding from the Georgina Maddox Trust.
