Kid’s Author Event: Daria Hugg 'Guardians of the Four Forces ' (ages 5-8)

Join local author Daria Hugg for an interactive storytime and creative mini book-making workshop inspired by nature, poetry and imagination! Explore the wonders of our planet, discover the magic of storytelling and become the hero of your very own book! Join us at Happy Reading Children's Bookshop this October Half Term for a special interactive reading and creative mini book-making workshop with local author Daria Hugg, co-author of Guardians of the Four Forces. Together, we'll journey through the four elements and the different habitats of our Earth, discovering the wonderful connections between nature, animals and our own bodies. Daria will share her beautifully imaginative picture book, which combines poetry, artwork and interactive sticker storytelling, before inviting children to become authors and illustrators themselves! Inspired by the story, each child will begin creating their very own mini book, imagining a world where they are the hero and main character. ABOUT GUARDIANS OF THE FOUR FORCES Step into a magical world where nature, rare animals and the four elements come together in an extraordinary adventure! Join Eva and Alex as they guide you on a journey across our amazing planet, exploring its landscapes, habitats and the creatures who call them home. But there's something very special about this adventure... The story isn't complete without YOU! Combining poetry, illustrations and interactive stickers, Guardians of the Four Forces invites young readers to become part of the storytelling experience. Using stickers, children can bring landscapes to life, fill towns with characters and help create the world unfolding across the pages. Along the way, they'll discover the beautiful contrasts of our planet, the uniqueness of people and animals, and the connections between the natural world and ourselves. A celebration of imagination, creativity, nature and the wonderful rhythm of words!
