December can be wonderful, but it can also be busy, demanding and overwhelming. The shopping. The organising. The socialising. The expectations. The endless list of things that need to be done. Before the festivities really take over, I’d like to invite you to take an afternoon for yourself. Rest & Restore is a cosy winter wellbeing afternoon designed to help you step away from the busyness, reconnect with yourself and discover simple ways to protect your energy, nourish your body and support your wellbeing throughout winter and the festive season. Held in the beautiful tepee, we’ll spend the afternoon enjoying warming seasonal food, gentle mindfulness, nature, creativity and conversation. During the afternoon you will: • Enjoy a warming homemade seasonal soup on arrival • Take a moment to check in with your own wellbeing and identify what you need this winter • Explore simple ways to manage stress and protect your energy during a busy December • Learn practical techniques to help calm your nervous system • Enjoy a gentle mindful winter walk in nature • Create a beautiful nature-inspired winter decoration to take home • Discover how seasonal foods, herbs and spices can nourish us through the colder months • Enjoy herbal teas and a homemade seasonal treat • Explore the importance of rest and restorative sleep • Create a realistic winter wind-down routine that works for your life • Finish the afternoon with a gentle grounding practice Christmas without the pressure We’ll also take some time to think about how you want this festive season to feel. Rather than trying to make Christmas perfect, we’ll explore the traditions and activities that genuinely bring you joy, the things you might be ready to let go of and the boundaries that can help you protect your wellbeing. There will be no pressure to share anything you don't want to and no expectation that you need to change everything about your life. This is about finding small, realistic ways to feel better. Come and spend an afternoon... Eating something warming. Walking outside. Creating something beautiful. Drinking tea. Breathing. Talking. Resting. And giving yourself permission to put your own wellbeing on the Christmas list too. You'll leave with: • Your personal Winter Wellbeing Plan • Practical techniques for managing stress • Ideas for supporting sleep and rest • Seasonal nutrition inspiration • Your handmade winter decoration • Wellbeing resources to use at home • And, hopefully, the feeling that you've had a few hours to simply be looked after
