Hearthcircle: Make an Autumn Wreath

Make your own natural autumn wreath, woven by hand and decorated with beautiful gathered materials from the Sussex hedgerows. Join us around the table for a relaxed morning of natural wreath making at the Hedgerow & Hearthcraft studio in Barlavington, near Petworth. We’ll begin by learning how to make a natural wreath from flexible gathered stems, weaving and shaping them by hand before decorating with a beautiful selection of seasonal materials from the autumn hedgerow. There’ll be foliage, grasses, seed heads, pinecones, feathers and other natural finds to choose from, with plenty of inspiration for making your wreath completely your own. No previous experience is needed. Hearthcircle workshops are deliberately small, with just four places, so there’s plenty of time and individual guidance. All materials and tools are included, along with tea, coffee and cake. You’ll leave with your own handmade natural autumn wreath to take home.
