Meeting the Herb - Echinacea

Join local herbalist Rosy to meet and learn about one seasonal herb at a time in depth Join local herbalist Rosy to meet one seasonal herb at a time and learn more about it using your senses and intuition, how to identify it, it's traditional uses and how to prepare a herbal remedy with it. Meeting one plant at a time is a deeper and more sustainable way to learn about herbalism, and I hope that you will leave the group feeling more confident to identify and use these plants for yourself. The workshop is in 3 parts; Meeting the herb, using your own senses and intuition, Learning more about it's traditional and modern uses, Tasting and Making herbal remedies with it This month is about echinacea, which we will be making a brew from to try as well as discussing other ways to prepare it and how it may help to support our health and wellbeing. We may also go for a walk to find it growing nearby outdoors (weather dependant). My room is above the Balgonie kilts shop in Falkland and can only be accessed by stairs, and we will go for a short walk during the session. This workshop is suitable for 12years plus and those under 16 need to be accompanied by an adult.
